About the ID&R Curriculum

The curriculum design provides a framework for recruiter development and progression along a continuum.

We hope that these materials will serve to support your ID&R Training efforts.

Note: The materials for each Module are contained within compressed files. Each compressed file contains: 1) An Outline, 2) A PowerPoint Presentation, and 3) Trainer’s Resource Materials. If your computer is not equipped with the software needed to unzip the files, you will need to install the necessary software before downloading the modules.

Background and Overview of the Migrant Education Program

The recruiter will know his or her basic responsibilities.

Developing Action Plans

The recruiter will know how to develop an individual ID&R action plan for finding eligible migrant children, youth, and their families.

The recruiter will be able to evaluate the implementation of an individual ID&R action plan and revise as needed.

Determining Eligibility

The recruiter will demonstrate mastery of child eligibility requirements of the MEP.

Conducting an Interview
1 Understanding Effective Communication (2 MB)
• The recruiter will understand and respect the diversity of migrant children and youth, and their families, in order to interact with them effectively.
