necessary information to document the child’s eligibility and enroll

the child in the MEP

Refer participants to the definitions for identification and recruitment listed on the slide.
Remind participants that two of the primary responsibilities of all recruiters are the identification and recruitment of migratory children.
Ask participants to look at the definitions for each of the terms in isolation above.
Tell participants that based on the PowerPoint definitions, they are going to categorize the ID&R methods they just listed into either an identification activity or a recruitment activity.
Review the list of activities on the chart paper and identify each with an “I” or an “R” based on participant feedback. Some recruiter activities could fall in both categories.
While debriefing, discuss the importance of each activity in relation to the ID&R process for the state.
