Ask participants to refer to the notes from the one-minute conversation that they wrote in their Outline.
Tell participants they are going to get a chance to “redo” their earlier conversation with the same partner and topic.
Give participants one minute to write down some key talking points about their topics in their Outline (p. 3).
Once participants are ready, set the timer for one minute and signal participants to begin.
After one minute, ask participants to debrief the whole group on how this second conversation went in comparison with their first one-minute conversation.
Ask the following questions to help guide the debrief:
Did you, as a parent, feel like the recruiter had more information to share? What differences did you notice from the first conversation?
Did you, as the recruiter, feel more organized in your delivery of information? What did you do differently from your first conversation?
