Follow the same process to unveil the second and third step.
Once all steps have been revealed, ask participants to think about the communication process and record a list of communication barriers in their Outline (p.3).
Ask participants to discuss, in their table groups, communication barriers recruiters may encounter in the field and generate a list.
Actively monitor participants to ensure they understand the directions; provide clarification as necessary.
Encourage participants to update the list in their Outline with additional barriers discussed in their table groups.
Before moving to the next slide, point out that a miscommunication can occur at any point in this process.
Talking Points
As MEP staff, we know that communication with our migratory families and youth is integral to the success of the program.
We will look at three steps for the communication process.
