Communication Activity Character Cards, pp. 13–14 in the Trainer’s Resource Materials; there is a Character A and a Character B: if there are eight participants role-playing the part of the parent, make sure there are four “A” cards and four “B” cards; ensure adequate representation of each character for this activity
Recruiter Task Card, p. 15 in the Trainer’s Resource Materials; one card per participant who will be role-playing the part of a recruiter.
Observer Card, p. 16 in the Trainer’s Resource Materials; one card per participant who will be the observer.
Ask participants to form a group of three. Within their groups, ask them to decide who will play the role of parent, who will play the role of recruiter, and who will play the role of observer.
Ask parents to leave the room, all recruiters to move to one section of the room, and all observers to move to an opposite side of the room.
