The Interview Process: Before the Interview

One participant from each group will share the information

from your group’s graphic organizer.

• Listen as others share their group’s activities.

• Place a check next to the activities you have in common.

Read the directions from the slide.
Clarify any questions as necessary.
As each group presents, ensure that others are placing check marks by the activities listed on their graphic organizers, as directed.
Continue the debrief until all groups have had an opportunity to share. Ask them not to share an activity that has already been discussed.
Refer to Key as groups debrief. Ensure all answers are addressed.

Knowing what kind of referral services your family may need prior to your visit would help in building the trust between you and your family.
Making the family as comfortable as possible is key in developing a relationship.
