Debrief each question.
Remind participants that they had the same amount of time for each conversation. Being thorough with sharing information does not necessarily mean taking more time.
Opening an interview with an explanation about the MEP and the purpose of the interview is integral to a parent’s understanding about the process.
Discussion Points
The second conversation gave the parent a better picture of the MEP and the purpose of the interview.
The first conversation was good, but so much more information was provided in the second conversation.
