An interviewee may give conflicting or unclear answers

because of fear or stress, an inability to recall specific

information, language issues, or other unintentional

reasons.

Read the scenario from the slide. Ask participants to picture a situation in which this might occur.

When all participants are ready, ask them to discuss what they might do when faced with this situation.
Facilitate discussion as needed.

A child should not be enrolled in the MEP until there is enough information to determine if he or she is eligible.
